Hello,

Is there a way when you are shooting in tethered mode that Aperture recognizes pairs of Jpg and Raw coming in from the camera?
I tried different configurations in the tether settings dialog box, also in the import pane and it doesn’t seem to work. The files always come in and are recognised as 2 separate files. I’m using a canon 1dsmk3.
Many thx for your input.

I use the same camera tethered to Ap however I never shoot both file formats.  I shoot Raw and export jogs when needed. I have to keep it simple.   Sorry I guess Im not helping.  What do you gain by shooting both?

Hi David,
At the end of a day’s shoot It happens that I give all the jpg’s to the advertising agency/client for selection purposes. In Eos capture I shoot Jpg+Raw, but I’d love to tether with Aperture as it seems much more stable.

The problem with third party tether software … developers have to work within the confines of the camera maker’s SDK API’s … it may be possible that Aperture … or any other third party apps, don’t have the access to the proper coding hooks to pull both file types simultaneously from the camera.

Eugene  it maybe a workflow thing.  I often finish a shoot for a client and  while packing up or striking the set I export  the stared images as jpgs.  Aperture is always faster than me cleaning up.   I never knew a software program that didn’t make me adapt to it,  they are stubborn that way.  But you knew that.
