Joseph, as a firm believer of your mantra to use the keyboard shortcuts, it's driving me crazy that there seems to be no quick way to close the Retouch HUD.
You bring it up by hitting the X key, but to close it you either have to hit the “x” in the upper left corner of the HUD or click on the HUD and then hit command-W. Surely there must be a keyboard shortcut for closing the Retouch HUD without first selecting the HUD but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Tap the “A” key, which is the selection tool (think A for Arrow). That will exit any tool you’re currently in.

Thanks Joseph. I knew there had to be a way. I guess I was being too specific in my search for a way to close this specific HUD. A useful keyboard shortcut “A”ll around. :-)
