I am curious. I am in the process of importing many, many sub-directories worth of photos into Aperture. The process followed is always the same, CMD+I, locate the directory to be imported. and the directory name appears in Aperture Library: Project Name & I store the files in the Aperture library. Fill in the rest of the taging information and import.
When I then, again, use CMD+I, the same process is followed most of the time. However, on an odd occasion, the Aperture Library: Project Name is the folder with the previously loaded project. Certainly, clicking on the field, selecting “new project” reloads the name of the directory, but I am curious if there is a reason for this behaviour.
Once you have the import window open, if you click a folder in the library, that folder becomes the import location.
Are you saying this happens without clicking a folder in the library?
