Photo Moment - August 24, 2018
You gotta put your SD cards somewhere, and it seems like any case will do. But I'll show you what happens when you choose a BAD case, plus how keep your cards from getting damaged taking them in and out.

Thanks so much I'm planning on getting a new case for my cards for my new Sony fx6 and I was browsing through YouTube for a while, trying to figure out how to actually create some type of casing for my dual memory cards because I have one that is very expensive to shoot HD on exclusively and another one that shoots just regular. And I wanted to put them right at the moment, some type of casing because the casing that I originally had somehow disappeared but after now finding your great video. I am now definitely going to invest in this carrier, and the great thing about it is that it is waterproof as well, which is something that I really was wanting to have as an addition to any case that I decided to purchase. This was definitely a great video. Also, I did subscribe to your channel and I will be passing it along to some fellow friends of mine as well. Thanks.
What is the best way to store them at home to prevent data loss? Would an anti-static baggie be helpful?
Unless you are in a high static area that’s not something I’d be concerned with. Just keep them clean (not out sitting on your desk) and that’s enough.
Can't believe only 277 likes at this time, that was very helpful
What are u using to switch from top view to front view with a push of a button, im learning im newbie to this
This was my old live switching system. I was triggering ATEM macros from the iPad.
Nice i know mines is the hard one but they are also upside down
remove the foam pad and flip it upside down
Have you done that? I would imagine the foam is glued in although I have not tried.
I use the think tank pocket pixel and a pelican for cf cards
Thanks for the video...Definetly picking up the Pelican SD case from your site.
You may want to lay off the espressos. Holy shnikees you talk fast.

Better upside down as well - as you shouldn't really be touching the SD contacts either.
hello
have you ever had a broken card by pulling it out of the snap in type memory card case ? i think here is a way better design https://www.elephantcases.com/memory-card-cases.html

WHAT PROGRAM ARE YOU USING TO SHOW THE SCREENS
it's all hardware based. The bad news is, it was really expensive. The good news is, Blackmagic has reduced the price of what I used to do by about ten-fold. It's all about the ATEM Mini, baby… start here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRe8DcOhgslpIuaAUC7JqGLOQw2X44DFH
Came here to see if the case can hold cards without a strap over them so they don't fall out, Which i did find out but the upside down trick is certainly very smart and helpful so i'll be using that one.
I'm looking for a case and bump to your video. I might not be buying that pelican (Tax Import policy in my country making it almost 3x original price), but your information about how to store the card, preventing/minimize the risk for your card.. that's gold.
Thanks! I learned the hard way; prefer others don’t have to :-)
Great review PhotoJoseph! Have you ever heard of the Kiorafoto Case? It's an affordable version of the pelican case and honestly for $7.99 it fits my needs. I have a short overview of the case on my channel. I also use a mirrorless Panasonic for my videos...I appreciate your channel and your content... Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I hadn't but it looks good. Thanks for sharing!
I was very happy with my first Pelican case. However, my 2nd one was a counterfeit, and I even bought it from a reputable online sore.. Flimsy plastic without the printed Pelican brand.
I prefer the Pelican cases myself, I have used the Gepe, Pelican and some of the generic card holders, and the Pelican is just better built in my opinion
Pelican 915 is where it's at. I wish both sides held microSDs, though; does anyone actually have any devices anymore that use miniSD?
I don’t even know what that is! That’s why I was screwing up trying to say the name of it :-)
How do you store your SD Cards safely? Or do you just leave them lying around?
